Eve of Destruction

by Michael D Nalley   Sep 9, 2008

You are the mother of seduction
The procreator of destruction
Rejecter of laws from above
Yet, you were designed for love

I wonder if the snake was at the root
Of the tree with the forbidden fruit
The tree planted in the earth's crust
Bearing sins which included lust

You are tainted by demons of forged laws
Is the Eve of destruction a hopeless cause?
Are the redeemed the only ones exempted?
From the punishment for being tempted

The new Eve has given birth to the Christ
To pay for our sins He has been sacrificed
To die to ones self is the spirits reduction
We must not give in to the Eve of destruction

'We must not give in to the Eve of destruction '
    Very true. And right.
A different kind of writing. I've found it very gripping. Certainly we should beware of 'Eve of destruction'. As Christ showed us the way...
Don't let sin to creep in. Wonderful poem.
