I = Infatuation

by Aliah   Sep 9, 2008

I couldn't really understand
why all you wanted was to be my friend
When your kiss meant pure desire
Oh boy, you were a great liar

I've never lied from the start
I poured my feelings from the heart
You said you felt the same way too
Now you tell me it's not working out for you?

You tell me that I deserve better
That maybe we weren't right for each other
These lame excuses I've heard twice
Yet you're difficult to despise

I guess I was mainly infatuation
And your actions were a crime of passion
How I fell into your trap of deception
Is but another unthinkable question.

    A very well written poem. Great feelings flowing through this one. The flow was also perfect and added to the feelings of lost love or rather an end to love.

    Excellent work. 5/5 from me.
