Dear Daddy,

by grace   Sep 9, 2008

I want to be an actress.
In fact I've learned very well.
In a way you kind of helped me,
How you forced me through that hell.

I pretended to be polite.
I played your stupid mind games.
You were always intoxicated.
You called me all those names.

I would get in to character,
Plaster on a smile,
Effortlessly nod and wave,
When I really hated you all the while.

You had no right to do that,
To ruin my childhood.
I tried and tried,
I did everything I could.

You're done now.
There's nothing you can do.
Goodbye dad,
I'm finally through with you.
