Familiar Gray

by Ignoris   Sep 9, 2008

Falling gently into despair
Searching for the slightest tear
Look around but all I see
Familiar gray, a lockless key

Walking through these hollow walls
Listen close, an angel calls
Imaginary, as if a dream
Familiar gray, not what it seems

Searching for a color bright
Maybe even endless light
But then of course, when nothing shows
Familiar gray, a fading rose

Waiting for a day anew
This time of mine soon overdue
A day when I can mold my clay
So it won't stay familiar gray

Excellent write! The rhythm was perfect as also the rhymes. The content was very interesting ,I guess we have all felt like things were a dull gray at times. an excellent job.

You have an amazing talent with flow and the right words. It's a sad poem, but it's a god one. I personally really liked the second and third stanza, and the last two lines.
This poem gave me shivers. I hope you keep writing amazing work.
    Krystal.
