Everything Dies

by Shannon Pyscotic   Sep 11, 2008

Why must everything die?
Why must this world just shrivel up?
Why is it so hard to cry?
Why must life be poured out of the eternal cup?

We try so hard to survive
Pushing people aside
It's a wonder we're still alive
You would have thought we'd died.

We attack and kill
At enormous pace
Just for the thrill
Of winning the never ending Rat Race.

Who will win?
Is the answer clear?
Who has more sin?
Does our journey end here?

People hate each other
And refuse to love
Not at peace with one another
Like the elegant dove.

Love one another
Before it's too late
Look after each other
And do not hate.
