Prayer and Fasting

by Michael D Nalley   Sep 11, 2008

Lord bless this day of prayer and fasting
In contemplation of life everlasting

Lord I know my sins defy thee
Send your grace and purify me

Thank you for your forgiving bread
Consecrated by the prayer you said

A sacred meal shared by brothers
Forgiveness as we forgive others

Praises sung with hymns and rhymes
Of ages that have past in early times

From the holiest of days to the worst
Blessed are we who hunger and thirst

Sinners and saints greatest to the least
Are humbled by your heavenly feast

I hope that there is some place beyond the world we live in today, without all the murder and sickness. It would be nice to live in peace with others in the most beautiful of paradises without worry. Excellent job 5/5 GG23
