The Frayed

by Prince Jared   Sep 11, 2008

This is a message from the frayed
It's from all of us who have been played
Is there hope somewhere out there?
We're so dismayed, and so afraid
Will it be okay?
Is there someone who cares?

Inside somebody there is a heart beating
That yearns to hear all the pleading
There are some people who just don't care
About the bleeding, inside and needing
To be seeing all the frayed out there

Can you hear the frayed?
How loud do we have to scream?
We are real; this isn't something on TV
Can you hear me? Can you see?

Is it really hard to look around you today
And see through our eyes all this pain?
Will you at least look past your own face?
Are you dismayed, are you afraid?
Will everything be okay?
Will you remember the frayed?

Can you hear the frayed?
How loud do we have to scream?
We are real; this isn't something on TV
Can you hear me? Can you see?

Will you, will you, oh, will you
Just remember the frayed?
Look around today; see all the pain
Memorize our name
Will you remember the frayed?

Can you hear the frayed?
How loud do we have to scream?
We are real; this isn't something on TV
Can you hear me? Can you see?

Yes, I believe we all need to not only hear, but listen, to the frayed.

  • Unfotunately not many people can...another great poem. i can understand the sadness the pleading and reality...my favorite part was
    "Can you hear the frayed?
How long do we have to scream"
    great lines..keep it up!
