Our Story

I still remember
when we first met
by the track
all cold and wet

I even remember
the look in your eyes
I could have never for told
that they could tell such lies

And all the long day,
we talked, joked and laughed
you made me think,
that this feeling could never pass

And so I asked you to come
I thought I would be too late
but you said yes
you even called it a date

And so all your secrets you spilled
all your stories you told
but I did not know that
your true heart you would withhold

You talked of how
we were so much alike
but in truth, our values
couldn't be more unalike

And so the night,
of which we have yet to discus
the big event,
that ended "us"

Some tried to warn me,
but louder voices said
that she wouldn't do that
to just think of the great night ahead

So infront of me,
you two had your love affair
the sight of your faces,
I can no longer bare

You even faked a kind gesture,
a disguise for much more
it was at that moment
That my heart tore

That was all I could take,
I had to depart
before my anger and sadness
flodded my heart

So the next day
I had my proof,
the others had seen you
kissing under the slate roof

Now I know it meant nothing,
you never cared about me,
but it's going to be fine,
My heart is back where it's meant to be

But in the end I feel sorry
for you, friend of days gone by
because life can't be pleasant,
when your living it in a lie
