no way to meet you but through this

no other way to tell you but this
There is
just a lacking coincidence that will bring us together
There is but
you in the misty, foggy thoughts in my head.
And yet
there comes a time when i have to say goodbye
To you
although i have not really met somehow
the You
in a far off distant place
I seek, and find, and lose and seek again
And finally lose you before my gaze falls on you.
And so
I say goodbye to the image in my mind
Of who you are, of what you are
Of what you do and what fascinates you
My heart still longs to speak to you
To hold you in the nearness of love's immediate presence
If only I could meet you at least once
Then losing you over and over
and over and over once more
would have more value
At least a face to remember
And then i can afford to lose you once again.
