Looking deep into a girls heart

Looking deep into a girls heart,
You'd find secrets and lies,
Promises that were left broken,
And nights she'd stay up and cry,

Girlfriends she considers her sisters,
Boyfriends that have broken her heart,
Staying up late on sleepovers,
And how her worlds slowly falling apart,

You'd find how difficult it is,
To keep your head up, and be strong,
How hard it is to say I'm fine,
When actually, everything's wrong,

You'd see why girls think too much,
And some who don't do much at all,
People making them untrustworthy,
And how you just want to break down and fall,

How they space out and daydream,
Of a better day and night,
How some hope for the better,
Because their world is never right,

But one thing you'd see,
Is how much pain is in their heart,
How the carry the world on their shoulders,
And pretend everything's okay from the start.
