Too Silent

by Jemma   Sep 14, 2008

It is silent, all too silent
Even deep within my bones
Where my heart ought to beat
It is dark and yet so blinding
My eyes closed for fear of finding
What they'd meet
And all is silent
A dead end in a broken street

    Hi :)
This piece is very impressive, and provoked a strong image in my mind. I like the short simplicity of it and the flow made it joyous to read :)
    My favorite line:
'My eyes closed for fear of finding
    What they'd meet'
I think this totaly sums up the emotions portrayed in this poem.
    Great write,
