False Prophets

by Daniel   Sep 14, 2008

With the bible he sets out to proclaim the word of God, Determined to convert as many against all odds,
Using all means to woo even if it means giving goodies,
Did Jesus not feed multitude, he says to himself in defense.

Give up your riches, his favourite phrase from holy book,
Offerings and tithe, his topic of sermon every session,
Good job of spreading the gospel always at work,
Remind them even if they know, isnt it written?

In ththese households the situation reads completely different,
The wife always chaotic and belligerent towards him,
His kids ever rebelltoward whatever he says or does,
Charity begins at home, or doesnt the adage state?

Finally He comes, they proclaim while in trouble,
In consolation they predict doom coming to all,
Building heaven on earth they say when in prosperity,
Just where are these people from if not abyss itself.

Deep in their heart lies malicious interests and deceit,
Their outward deeds rival the ancient holy saints,
In their brains, they contain razor-sharp intellect,
Ability to mould everything into their personal likings.
