Preacher, Baptismal Overboard

by RussianRendezvous   Sep 15, 2008

Dancing fingers and an arching frame,
Sole instructions to a boundless game.
Bold, explicit, and willingly,
I gave back an inverse valiancy.

For some time all was kept on track.
When you and I went back-to-back.
Now our spines are twisting and sharing bait,
Adds a brand new spice to the figure eight.

I know the pulse, I'm within range,
Close enough to feel your rhythm change.
And like two snakes of tender nerves,
We taste the air at every curve.

Deeper and deeper into these secret redwoods.
Let's meet where all of the tracks run together.
Getting tangled in the brush,
A grip on my shirt,
Quickening beats against a rattling cage
You know these twenty have worked so hard,
And I think it's about time they were tagged out.

Baby, just say when...
