Relief of Failure

by StandStill   Sep 15, 2008

Been a while since I've written,
broken down in tired words.
Can't hear my heartbeat, Father,
does that mean it goes unheard?

Why did you give me the moon,
only to steal the stars out from under me?
Father, what's going on tonight
and what happened to my abilities.

I can't pray to you tonight,
write three stanzas out instead.
I fail, my darling Father,
broken in my head.

Walked on eggshells all along,
do you reject me for my beliefs?
God, i fail, i fail, i fail...
what a simple burden's relief.

Father, it's ok you're crying.
I'm almost dead, I'm almost gone.
So soon I'll come back stronger..
someday soon I'll come back strong..

Amen...
