My Orchid, why is it when I became well you seemed to become ill?
I can only guess that the change of season is the culprit -
- and should itself be made to suffer the consequences of its floating pollens
All I know is; you are unwell and my world seems torn apart.
While you were restlessly sleeping I went for a walk into our forest
Today I walked via a different route and to my delight I found a new clearing
Perhaps an early autumn had happened here yet it was astoundingly beautiful
All around the trees were sporting once vibrant leaves, some of which were falling.
Then I came across a little wooden bridge bedecked with thousands of leaves
The river bed underneath was dry and I felt sure it was crying out for water
I felt rather saddened as it was impossible to see a reflection of your face
Instead I imagined it was floating there upon an illusory mirror-surface.
You looked absolutely breathtaking with your golden halo of hair -
- as though your trusses were calling out for the sun to shine upon this new area
Yes my orchid, it was all in my mind but the picture I imagined was magical
I could sense you standing beside me and peacefulness came over my body.
As I looked around I noticed a number of new furry friends - were they looking for you?
Was I destined to find this closely guarded clearing in our magic forest?
Now I have found this beautiful area designed by nature; I must bring you here
Then I took a few moments to pray for the return of your health and realised I missed you.
Yes my Orchid Lady I missed you being with me; then with another quick look at this place -
- I retraced my steps and with lengthened strides I hastened on my way home to you
The truth is; although nature had shared her rare artistry with me it could not match that of your own
A smile of happiness came upon my face as shortly we would be together once more.
