i remember the day that you broke my heart
you knew how much i loved you
how much i cared for you
you looked in my eyes and told me that it was over
that you found somebody else

words can't explain how much pain you put me through
i felt suffocated and trapped
my whole world came tumbling down
i didn't find food appetizing anymore
i found myself crying most of the time
all i wanted to do was lay in bed and cry some more

now things are getting better
the sun is shinning through my wall of darkness
and then you come out of nowhere and tell me that you want me back
you tell me that you are sorry
and that you were very stupid
yea you were, you damn right you were

the truth is am mad at you
but at the same time i love you
i want to get back with you
i want to be in your arms again
i want you to kiss my tender lips one more time
i want to fall asleep on your chest while listening to the sound of falling rain

i love you, i really do
but am sorry i can't take you back
you've caused me unrepairable pain
you've caused me so much shame
i can't take you back
cause i don't want to go through it again
and besides i figured, if you loved me you wouldn't put me through that in the first place
but the people make mistakes right...
