When I lived in your tummy
There was nothing much to do
But sit and wait and grow
So I could eventually be with you

When I lived in the hospital
Everyone but you passed by
All I wanted was your kiss
But you never looked in my eyes

When I lived in your room
You wouldn't let visitors in
Were you not proud of your baby daughter?
Did I already sin?

When I lived in my sister's room
You gave me my own bed

I knew you were the reason her tears were shed

I was glad to be away

No parents or sisters there
