Deep End

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Sep 17, 2008

I hate nights like these
The ones that don't end
I need the words that saves you
When you know that you can't pretend

Just so you know
It won't get much worse
Be hushed, my love
I know what its like to be hurt

You're lost in the shallow end
But you can't touch the ground
The water is darkest
When you know that you'll drown

Take a deep breath
It will all be okay
Those were your words, my love
It's something I try not to say

I hate nights like these
Can't feel the world glow
All the fast pacing beauty
It fades far away and you know

You're lost in the shallow end
But you can't touch the ground
The water is darkest
When you know that you'll drown

I hate nights like these
The ones that don't end
Some days are so hard
Without a hug or a friend

When your dragged to deep water
With one hand holding on
Your fingers are slipping
All feeling is gone

You're lost in the shallow end
But you can't touch the ground
The water is darkest
When you know that you'll drown

I'll be there to hold you
That's how this ends
My love, I will be there
We need to get through the deep end

To the beat of
Swim- Jack's Mannequin

It really does sound like a song, and i love it! The rhyme scheme does not seem forced and there is a really good emotion....i felt sad after i read it! good job!

I was going to say, it sounds like a song.
    but that would be why.

jesse...you're not going to drown. I won't let you, jesse..."I'm sorry I need you too much to let you escape".

    *hugs you*
