The Sky Will Open

by Ignoris   Sep 17, 2008

When we're left in this world to wallow and crawl
And nothing is there but blank blackened walls
We'll see, maybe, what we have become
Together, we made this universe numb

The sky will look down on the earth it once saw
With sorrow filled eyes, mouth open in awe
The sky will open, the earth will shake
It's wretched arm, reach down to take

The people will cry, but no one is near
A heart of stone will fill with fear
All eyes will be on that thing from the sky
The reaching hand, that furious eye

The Heaven's will fall, night will consume
If just for a moment, a child in the womb
Blind to things no one can see
I guess they thought we'd find the key
