Chocolate Dreams (Senryu)

by Mr. Darcy   Sep 17, 2008

Craving dark passion,
In chunks of addictive bliss,
Melting cares away.

Senryu (also called human haiku) is an unrhymed Japanese verse consisting of three unrhymed
lines of five, seven, and five syllables (5, 7, 5) or 17 syllables in all. Senryu is usually written in
the present tense and only references to some aspect of human nature or emotions. They possess
no references to the natural world and thus stand out from nature/seasonal haiku.

First of all chocolate. MMMMM. lol I love chocolate haha.

    Anyways

I liked this poem, I've always admired senryus putting words together to make a very short poem, as well as making it make sense is a hard thing to do. Props for that. But the way you described chocolate made me feel as if i was eating some, or just imaging watching how it looks. Were you eating some or had some in front of you while writing this? Lol
