Lethargic beauty
Moonbeams of emphatic sadness
One star
A glistening tear

What heartache does her spirit know?
Eyes but hollow pools
Pouting lips, trembling
Hands grasping to hold her together

An angel of poetic muse
The thought within the ink
I am but a spectator
Exploiter of emotion

What if I had found her yesterday?
Would a smile caress her porcelain face?
The sun absorbed
By her passionate eyes

What of tomorrow?
Will she still wither?
Shall I find strength slowly returning
Arousing her broken essence

If never we cross
Beyond this moment
I shall always wonder
My mind racing

Before sleep finds me
I'll compose my silent wishes
Hoping if we never meet again
My pen has captured her soul
