Out of LOVE

by DreamingOutLoud   Sep 18, 2008

Closed like a map
No one to open me and search for the right track
Like a maze, a mouse trying to find the exit when it hasn't even entered
Like a candle, the wax already made, without burning to it's very last flame
Like a flower, blooms to fade
No one sticks long enough to make me feel safe
Like a butterfly that turns back into a caterpillar, forgetting to fly, to love I have said goodbye
Like wine drying to grapes
Every step I take is not a sin; just a mistake
Like a human turning into an ape
Without you, I have turned myself in, I have no escape
Like a phone call, without any dial
My heart is hardly beating, going 0.000 km a mile
Like a brain with no cells
Everything of you is gone, everything but your sweet smell
Like a finger without a nail
In this heart you have left a trail
Like a breath without any oxygen
You used to take my breath away, now you're taking everything's that's left me hanging, air
Like a cigarette without any nicotine
Like me without you, I need you here
Like the sun with no rays
It's still the same day, the day you left; Tuesday
Like the clouds full of rain
Your heart empty and mine full of pain
Like the incorrect answer to the wrong question
You without I and Me without you; I don't know what to do
Like the tick without the tock
I'm the angel your eyes forgot
Like the eye without a sight
I'm exchanging the day for the night, after you left the whole world doesn't seem right
I know I'm the one to blame, for burning out our flame.
