Just Another Car Crash

by StandStill   Sep 18, 2008

The words are getting hazy,
there's lights every place I look.
Can't see, can't hear, can't breathe;
a thousand things forsook.

I wish to pray forgiveness,
should have done it before today.
God if you're there listening,
just a few things left to say.

I'm sorry I was drinking,
kept driving on and on.
Thought that I could run away
from everything that went wrong.

I'm sorry I'll hurt them,
I'm sorry that they'll cry.
But God, I'm pretty sure..
pretty sure it's time to die.

Shouldn't have been so reckless,
laying in a pool of red.
Watch the ambulance scream in sight,
for darling, I'm already dead.
