A Different Kind Of Storm

by MyxPeacefulxChaos   Sep 19, 2008

Raining outside she was dripping with tears,
And a terrible pain matched all of her fears,
As if all it hoped to ever gain,
Was an ironic symmetry of that pain.
She laid on the floor and she closed her eyes,
But the tears poured out like the rain from the skies,
As they opened up and the thunder exploded,
But failed to scare tears back into a heart, corroded.
She let them drip down and they puddled around her,
Cold and hopeless the tears confounded her,
And knowing their hurt they continued to fall,
Until her eyes could no longer hold them all.
Betraying her heart they continued to spill,
As the moments slipped between make believe and real,
And no longer could her lovely face be seen,
For it was twisted with anger and a watery sheen.
The lightening struck and her screams rang out,
But no one was there to hear her shout,
And the thought of her loneliness made her no better,
And the tears this produced made her wetter.
Till whispers were left trickling from hoarse lips,
And only a few tears continued to drip,
And the words that spilled out were nature's rhyme,
And kept soothing her for quite some time.
So finally rising she looked past the pane,
To see that the ground was wet with rain,
But it no longer fell as she touched her cheek,
And the weather's change left her unable to speak.
For nature instills a power in all,
To get up and continue right after we fall,
And the sun peeked out and her cheeks were warmed,
To find the calm after her emotional storm.
