Miniature Flower Pot

by lonelynow   Sep 19, 2008

When I was walking home the other day
I saw, upon a low wall, a miniature flower pot.
Nestled into a crack in the brick, and a little chipped
Its colour caught my eye -
A bright, slightly faded yellow,
It winked from the grimy brick.
With my little finger I tipped it toward me,
Gently, lest it should fall,
To find that it was empty
I expected as much.
