Hollow memories

by Shellaine shelli   Sep 20, 2008

Breaking down
and falling to the ground
my thoughts are stretched
and twisted to my tragic death.

The walls all bent and screaming my name,
bleeding from all the hurt and shame they have seen,
seeing all the places I have been.

sadness and tragedy attack everyone in
life, cutting them open
and using their pain
as a memorable token,
as the blood pours out, the hollow walls of memories release everything
as it just floods out.

past tense to present
I will not allow you to succeed in
becoming another regret
and your words will not lead me to my death.

My smile is fake
but you said you were never hurt
but I know its you who is suffering now that I am
gone and all you have left
is the walls to sing you there truthful yet painful song.

You'll feel regret
you'll feel redemption
and as I close the portal forgetting about the sadness
trying to escape my minds continuous madness,
I'm not coming back.

My passion is what freed me
my strength set me free
I'm not as weak as you think
and it is you who is left to bleed.

So now you're on your knees
and crying out in shame
at the walls open mirror
reflecting all your shame.
