Treasures End

Money empowers the man
Who has all he needs
The world revolves around him
His followers kneel at his feet

A great king; on top of the world
His servants do his bidding;
Companions they presume
And there is no gift as rich as his friendship

Now the world revolving around him has stopped spinning
Nothing can empower the emperor of the corporate world
Weak now, no minions left to serve
Not even a friend to watch,
as he wastes away.
Eternal sleep slowly overcomes him
Lying on his jewel-less deathbed

A man once great,
Now left alone.
His life's love gone
He realizes:
His power was faulty

Nothing left,
No hope lingers in his fragile bones

Waiting helplessly
His great folly finally known
