A heart in motion

by resisting reason   Sep 21, 2008

I'm just a remnant
A disease and infection
A spot on your heart

I am permanent
A past and present reflection
From when you fell apart

I am just a hole
I am inside you
I will never leave

You don't have a soul
You know its true
All you have to do is believe

I will ruin your life
Or end it completely
And you can't escape

And in the dead of night
When your sleeping
We'll meet face to face

Then I'll tear them off
Both your mask and mine
And well be exposed

And with a whisper soft
I'll send a shiver down your spine
And then you'll know

What it is I am
And what you are too
What we both are together

You are a man
And I am part of you
And I will be forever

Call me love
Call me hate
Call me emotion

Look above
And at my face
I am your heart in motion
