*This is a poem I wrote because one of my friends boyfriend disappeared for 8hrs...she thought something happened to him and she was a wreck. Then she found out that the whole time he was at his parents because he was pissed off at her and laughed at her when he heard her crying because she was worried*
Do you love her? Do you really?
Will you be there for her when she needs you?
Or will you just stand there
acting like you don't have a clue?
Do you say "I love You" and mean it?
She does, and she means every little bit!
If you get in a fight will you run away?
Or would you be man enough to stay?
If she called your phone worried, would you answer?
Or would you leave her
with guilt and grief that spreads like a cancer?
Do you see the pain in her eyes when she cries?
Can you see that when you yell at her,
part of her heart dies!?
You're hurting her when she needs comfort and care!
When she needs kind words you cuss and swear!
Do you hold her when she's insecure and unsure?
Or do you tell her "to suck it up" and act immature?
I've seen the pain you've put her through
It hurts to see her cry after you guys argue
She needs so much more
The words you say to her cuts her to the core
So answer one question for me.....
Do you love her? Do you really?
Because all I see is a guy
who takes advantage of my best friend when she's down
and when she's hurting bad you laugh at her like a clown
So don't tell her you love her if you don't mean it
When you know if everything goes to hell you can just quit!
Would you jump in front of a bullet to save her?
If such an event would occur???
I would, and I'm just her best friend.
Hopefully the damage you did to her heart will mend,
and hopefully the words you've cut her with
won't send her into a deep depression
So the next time you hurt her,
ask yourself one question.....
Do you love her? Do you really????
