There are times throughout my day when I simply sit and wonder -
- I wonder what a minute; no a second would feel like without you in my life?
Inwardly I know my idea of an existence without my Orchid Lady would see me wither then fade
To even consider life without you is beyond my every thought; for you are more precious than rubies.
If you weren't here as my best friend why would the sun bother to rise above the horizon each day?
My mind conjures up a landscape lying barren - bereft of Nature and her tapestry of sheer wonders
Love of my life, I would not wish to live without your softness nor the beauty that radiates from your heart
Whatever I wrote; no matter how many words I couched each time I scribed, I would have to change them again.
There was a time I mistakenly equated richness to opulence and the finest of everyday living
But I was so wrong; today richness is looking into your eyes and seeing happiness reflected within them
Richness is waking up each day then turning to you and watching as your body stirs and you smile at me
Truly my Orchid, the feel of you as your arms stretch out in love far outweighs ugly human avarice.
With favourable weather this weekend I feel certain your furry friends would like to meet you again
My mind travels back to the first time we found our forest which just seasonally grew where it lay
Today, our forest is alive with colour and vibrance; blessing us both with its unmatched beauty
Even the once timid animals now wait to greet you - their timidness replaced by enthusiasm.
As you will be home shortly a smile journeys across my face adding to the happiness of our home
For at this very moment there is one vital element missing - YOU, which is compounded by sheer silence
Yes my flower you are a wonder that has enhanced my life and I am the better for your companionship
My Orchid there are many wonders throughout this world of ours but compared to you they pale into insignificance.
