I love the rhyming in this verse and the way you ended it with a very wise conclusion:))

In the last stanza it should be obessed intsead of obsess, I think:)

Letting go of someone you hold dear can be so very difficult and you described it very well. It does not matter what if you really consumed your relationship or not, love can grow regardless of that.
Visualising her in the arms of someone else does help, doesn't it?
I am thinking of him in her arms all the time now, to make the longing go away and to close the chapter.
I adore the word "beau" by the way!

I really like this poem.
A real wondering-what-could-have-been story.
I think many people can relate to this one.
Gives me a sad feeling. Wondering what could have been doesn't get you anywhere.
But I know it can be hard not to think about it.

Anyway, I love how you wrote it.
