Another year has past again
It was the eve of your birthday
and we decided to meet
she thought it was gonna be quick
little did she realize
I had plan a little surprise

She came down
wearing only
her t-shirt and jeans
no make-up
no nothing

we headed to the beach
chatted a little bit
it was 11:45
I told her I needed to pee
give me a minute

Shit! What am I suppose to do with 15 minutes?
I overshot
I should have looked at the time
Fine!
I still had to carry on with my plans

1 minute to time
I slowly walk back
with a little surprise
behind my back

The clock strike midnight
It all goes as planned
She's 19 today
60 is still so far away

I present to her a cake
with a candle lit on it
and sang to her a birthday song

It was short
It was sweet
I'm glad she liked it

She starts to have sparkles in her eyes
Oh no, she's about to cry
she asked again, why?
