Rocketship to Mars

by StandStill   Sep 22, 2008

Sleeping in my refridgerator
just to stay calm and cool.
Watchin' the celery swim past me,
carrot children attending school.

Maybe I'm just seeing things,
that's what they say, I hear.
Didn't know I was listening,
or did you, now, my dear?

The ocean, she's just big and blue,
kinda how I feel.
Takin' up half the map,
just so that it seems real.

Ink blot tests to tell me,
tell me who you are.
Welcome to my rocketship,
let's fly our way to mars.

The planets all have little people,
little people don't need no air.
If that's the case, why'm I struggling
for thoughts and love and care?

Family's to supply you love
back behind the who rehouse door.
Welcome to existance,
I'm sure you're dying for more.

Let's write secrests backwards in lipstick,
break the mirrors one by one.
If this is a carnival, baby,
then why isn't this house fun?

Tired little poems
scrawled out underneath tired, dried up tears.
Nothing left to dream of,
flying through the years.

Time is at a standstill,
catch it while you can.
Poem just died, my darling,
hourglass grains of sand.
