Christmas is coming...

by Sweet lig   Sep 22, 2008

September yet already I feel it coming
The cold winter chill in the air
All over town they are appearing
Decorations to brighten the streets

Trees, plants along the highways and streets
Are covered with sparkling lights
No matter where I may look
I see all the eager and smiling faces

In the shops and the shopping malls
The sound of Christmas songs can be heard
People cluttering up the sidewalks
Offering toys and decorations for sale

People strolling happily along the boulevard
Delighting in the beauty of the decorations
No matter where I look, I am reminded that,
Christmas is coming...

Nice poem. As I read it, I was able to picture it all in my head, with all the bright lights and decorations. I like how this poem brought out the joyous feelings in the air during the holidays. Good use of imagery. Good work =)

Keep in mind this is a full body experence not just sight or sound Plot121...
