Being Taken Away by the Wind

by Andrew Smith Gamilla   Sep 22, 2008

Loosing someone does not mean the end
People come and go
Everyone is passing
That even my existence is not that indispensable
I cannot claim that I would stay with you longer than others who left
I am just here to teach you of something which you failed to see before
Maybe those who have gone ahead of me have done their role in this world
I am just like those who left
I leave you nothing that will be forever
Even those things that I have taught will fade
The only thing that I wish is that you keep the fire burning
My ember will eventually lose its flame but other piece of wood will be consume
It will produce another series of flame
My fire may heat you for now but others will surely do their part
I am no longer with you when I die down
However, my memory lives on through the ashes that will be taken by the wind
This world becomes my lasting journey
I will be blown and will be surely be part of the world
