Can't I help?

by Laurel S   Jun 6, 2004

Can't I help you?
I hate seeing you this way.
Your eyes are bloodshot
and you don't mean anything you say

You try to be nice
but you fail to succeed
I try to help you
in your time of great need.

I have tried to deny it
it shouldn't be so.
I'm so depressed
I don't want you to go.

I miss the old you,
the one that was nice and funny.
But now the only reason you talk to me
is to ask for some more money.

I told you to stop
but you just got pissed.
You don't see
how much you'll be missed.

Drugs aren't the answer
why can't you understand
I just want to be there
holding your hand.

I miss you dear brother
why can't you see.
If you won't stop for you,
could you please stop for me?
