Autumn Equinox

Autumn Equinox

When it turns from Summer to Fall
Spirits sag
Feelings flag
All the happy times we recall
Pleasure and play
Leisure's so far away

Who changed the locks?
It's Autumn Equinox!

I cannot tether
This change in weather
Everyone is coughing and sneezing
Though I should remember
That in December
The temperature is freezing

Still, I say: A pox
On the Autumn Equinox!

This is such a cool poem, Corinne! But I love Fall and it's crisp scenary. Yet I do not care for the sniffles... Anyway, I thought this was precious. Great job! ;o)

What a delightful piece. The changing of the seasons have a different effect on us all. I enjoy seeing Fall come....Because I know my favorite season Winter is on it's way :)
    Good job!
    ((hugs))
