Middle Ground

by Kayl   Sep 24, 2008

At first its hard to see through the past,
sometimes i feel we're moving too fast.
It's hard to find that middle ground, when all you do is make me frown.
I once truly loved you, and now we must move on to a new.
We shared something great, we shared something strong, i used to ask why it went so wrong.
But I'm starting to see that middle ground.
I no longer wear that frown when you are around.
I smile and laugh,
I refuse to get off track.
Friends we will be,
you and me.
It's hard to look at her, but then again it must not be that easy to see him.
We're moving at a slow pace, but it's what we need.
This middle ground.

It seems to be unsteardy at times,
and i always find out about your crimes.
Arguments and madness,
tortures followed by sadness.
At times i feel it falter, at times i get scared.
What if one day your no longer there?

Friends we will try to be,
you and me,
Lovers turned bad,
I am no longer sad.
Trying to find this middle ground,
Climbing up that heaping mound.

Almost there,
i no longer glare.
Resentment is far away,
Even when you beg me to stay.

Your games no longer work, i am stronger then ever,
I have made it to the top.
I have found my middle ground.
