A tears trickling down a lonely face,
More than just water inside.
Sadness and pain that no one can trace,
Are a few things this little drop hides.
Just a drip of the pain calling out,
Wishing to be heard by someone else.
But sadly tears have no mouth,
And must run down a cheek for help.
No matter how far the temptation goes,
A tear cannot be fought.
But it is certain that they never travel alone,
And more tears are always sought.
The watery wave of emotional hurt,
Gives off drips like ocean spray.
And never can a dream assert,
That its tides should go away.
Tears fall down a child's face,
And drip right down their nose.
But the causes of cries change with age,
No matter where a child may go.
I wish to hold in my lonely tears,
For perhaps in my painful heart,
Memories would erase from my years,
And a brand new trend would start.
My heart would force tears to my mind,
And my mind would transform them to words,
And I could leave my puddles of tears behind,
But that's not the way tears work.
