Two Gun Shots

Two gun shots
To the head
The child shouts
And runs out of bed

The killer soars
Out the door
To leave the child
With her mothers corpse

The six year old girl
Runs into the room
Shaking her moms body
Shouting "wake up mommy; wake up!"

The dead body
Lies on the bed
The girl runs to the phone
To call her dad

No one answers
So she calls 911
Goes back with her mommy
As she hears the sirens come

They cover up the body
And carefully question the girl
As they search the house
For a 9 caliber gun

They find the gun
Three days later
And caught the guy
Who pulled the trigger

The little girl screamed and cried aloud
As they brought in the guy
She cried:
"That's my daddy!"

Ten years later
She tells her story
Of a memory
That is horrid

Blood and fluid
All over the walls
The last memory of her mom
Mutilated and deformed

Her dad in jail
For life without parole
She only prays
That this is the end
Of her horrid story...
