24 Sept

by Faithless   Sep 24, 2008

In the early morning rush to work
I saw you on the day of your birth
though you weren't physically there
but I could recognize your face on the bus ad

You're a model now
a profession which I long foresee
blessed with a gift of radiant beauty
I wonder if you still remember me

Even if you don't
I would like to thank you for the wonderful memories
of us walking at the beach
and riding on the bike brushing pass the morning breeze

Now that you're out of reach
I can only see you in my dream
our lives are like the river flowing down the stream
it seems like forever on going

You're no longer in your teen
today's the day you turn twenty
I wonder how have you been?
Are you still emotionally hurt deep within?

Will there be a day where we'll meet again?
Maybe we'll just let fate decide what's best for you & me
But for now I just hope that you're happy on this day

Happy 20th Birthday

This poem is really heartfelt and dripping with emotion. each line is stained with the emotional burden that you have.

There are flow issue's that really did come into play. Syllables are way off kilter and it sometimes goes into a ramble.

I really think that this is a poem that a lot of people can relate to. They see a person who they know..but are unsure of how to approach them...very well done. I loved this poem.

It tells a great story but the flow could have been a bit better. I really enjoyed it though :) Keep it up :)

A sad write from you. This must have been painful to search yourself in order to organise your raw memories and feelings into a poem.

This lady is now moving in different circles and I know you must wander if she ever thinks of you. The way you have described your relationship, she can't not think about you, like you do her.

Memories can be painful, but they can also be sweet and can last for eternity. Hang on to those sweet memories, as no one can take those away.

You never know, fate may smile upon you.

    Take care
