Questions

Is it just that people make sacrifices
In order to belong?
Is it just that people take pain
Just to prove they're strong?

Must people resort to violence
Every time someone looks at them a certain way?
Must people lay in silence
While others die of oppression everyday?

Should people have to cry themselves to sleep
Just because they know no one's coming home?
Should people have to fight their demons
With no support and all alone?

Why does this world judge people
And place them into groups?
When we are all one race
Living under one big roof.

So many questions
So little answers
But who's best to answer them
Than ourselves; the people
Who create such havoc, such pain and misery
Within our own society.
I'll let you decide your own answers.....

This poem was fairly contradicting to each line it followed. Not that that was a bad thing, it was actually what really pulled me into the piece. It makes you wonder, who is doing what and why.

Overall it was a really interesting thing to read. The flow was a tiny bit bumpy, but it does depend on how you read it, so it was bumpy for me, but might not be bumpy for everyone. I liked how your vocabulary was simple yet effective.

I think the rhyme was unneeded at the beginning, it felt like it was a tiny bit forced, but hey it still made a pretty clear point :).

5/5 hope to read more from you soon teheh.
