Four Stages Of Heartbreak.

by CourtneyyContageous   Sep 24, 2008

My heart says I love you
My head says it's a lie
My gut says I need you
My mouth says good-bye

My heart beats for you
Keeping rhythm like a drum
My heart, it cries for you
Baby, you're my only one

My head says you're lying
You're words are a disgrace
Please just let me think
Babe, I need some space

My gut says I need you
But I refuse to call
I can't be built back up
If only intended to fall

My eyes start to tear
As I look upon your eyes
I know it's hard, as I walk away
And my mouth says "Good-bye".

-----------------------------------
This is one of my older ones,
yes I know it's not impressive.
But I wrote it when I went through
my first break-up. And I was hoping
other might be able to relate.

"My heart says I love you

    My mouth says good-bye"

I like your rhyming here, but I feel like you overused the word "my" and "says" here, it just kind of ruined it for me, just my opinion though, otherwise nice job.

    "My heart beats for you
    Keeping rhythm like a drum
My heart, it cries for you
    Baby, you're my only one"

My favorite part, very sad but well expressed. Good job, keep writing, always and forever....
