Series of Scars - 3

by TheBarefootedCowgirl   Sep 25, 2008

It shimmers, shining in the light
sparkling red, dripping from my wrist
the blood beads up, spilling over
a beautiful sight, that i'll never miss

but something else spilt over too
tears, pouring from my heart
flowing down my face again
as my wrist bears the ever-present mark

scars remain, beautiful scars
to tell the stories when
my face is smiling tho you'd never guess
i'm now nearing the end.

This questions begs to be answered, 'Are scars really beautiful?' My answer, no. they are only a painful reminder of a painful past, although I will agree some beauty comes from pain.
