You saved me

by Valiantpenguin   Sep 25, 2008

How could this happen?
I thought I built that wall
So many bricks it took to build
How did you make it fall?

So many times i cried
Just to build it high
I swore it wouldn't get broken into
Not even by a fly

With one touch
You brought it down
I thought I'd fall and crash hard
In the tears I swore I'd drown

But you pulled me to the surface
Kept me safe and warm
I could face any fear
Win any war

I was a princess in that tower
Locked away and hidden
You were my knight in shining armor
On a gallant steed you rode in

You saved me from myself
Dear prince of mine
With a stolen, secret, kiss
On that cool August night
