In The Fields Of Forever

by NightFlyer   Sep 25, 2008

In fields of forever, I wait for thee
As clouds drift over the silver sea
Send me thy love on the sylvan breeze
Through the song of the birds, and the Moon's mysteries.

Here 'neath the shadow of a sycamore tree
In the wandering wind, I think of thee
Through golden clouds and fleeting mists
I long to taste thy sugar kiss.

Someday, true love, on thee, I'll shower
Like the morning breeze through the lilac flowers
In the fields of forever, I'll wait for thee
Till then, my love, remember me.

Thank you, again, Breaking Dawn for your kind comments. I take walks at a very nice tranquil park near my home and I get lots of poetic inspiration there.

Nice simile here, fits perfectly. Great poem, excellent wording and you kept me reading and interested with your words. Also, there was so much emotion portrayed in this lovely piece, so great work! Keep writing, always and forever....
