Fallen Sparrow

by Beautiful Chaos   Sep 25, 2008

Enticing lips,
That pour forth lies,
Truth is what,
She must disguise.

Good enough,
She thinks she's not,
Remembered once,
But now forgot.

Tainted mirror,
Fading flame,
Always lonely,
Drenched in shame.

Laying down,
So dirty feet,
Can walk across,
Her souls defeat.

Vacant eyes,
That drift away,
Floating into,
Yesterday.

Phony smiles,
Fade in night,
Here she doesn't,
Have to fight.

Ripping down,
Her false facade,
Mad at life,
Cursing God.

She wonders if,
She'll come to be,
Something more,
Than what you see.

A pile of lies,
A pretty face,
That hides the things,
She can't erase.

A fallen sparrow,
Broken wing,
Searching for,
The will to sing.
