Have you ever met someone
who will give you their heart
to always treasure it
never to be broken or torn apart
together always thick and thin
standing together hand in hand
sticking with you lose or win
smiling no matter the weather
brave in the face of danger
who'll do anything for you
who will give their life for you
take a bullet for you
who will change your life
from darkness to light
who's love will never fade
nor ever change
who will love you for you
have you ever met someone
who will promise you the stars
and take away the painful scars
someone who would give you the universe
and all they'll want in exchange is to hear you say
I LOVE YOU

    Very wonderful poem. I really liked it. I felt that it showed just about everything that most of the people in this world want.

    There were some problems with the syllables, but nothing to take away from it.

    I think that it's a poem that a lot of people think about, you put love into words..unconditional love.
