Scream Me A Lullaby

by Curing the Comon Cliche   Sep 25, 2008

Slow down world
You moved to fast
When I tried to make
The moments last

Drift away on my bed
Slip away and close my eyes
Turn up the volume
Scream me a lullaby

Slow down world
I want my money back
Everything I want to be
Is everything I lack

Lay my head
Goodnight goodbye
Hum me a tune
Scream me a lullaby

Alarm clock explodes the silence
I think I'll stay asleep
That's the only time I see her...
Is it an image I can't keep?

She put her hand on my ear
To whisper goodbye
That's as much as I can take
Scream me a lullaby

Then wake me up with better news

^^ I love and hate this stanza. I can't decide which feeling is stronger. I hate that i can relate to it so well...but it's a lovely, well put stanza, jesse. nicely written. and so,so true..

This made me think of this song that's like about sleeping in or something. I don't remember and there's my pointless comment for the day.
