Harder to stay alive

by Tangible heartache   Sep 26, 2008

Hearts cast aside,
Thrown down on the ground,
Crashing to a million pieces,
No longer making a sound,

Letters thrown into the fire,
Burning to tiny embers,
The quiet aching soul,
When you remember,

Words left unsaid,
On the tip of your tongue,
Soon to be forgotten,
Of a love so young,

Sitting there crying,
For a lost lover,
Pain so deep,
Never to recover,

A hearts ache,
And souls fateful cry,
On the outside you hide,
Inside you begin to die,

Lost without them,
Soon you think you won't survive,
Life without them seems useless,
It gets harder to stay alive.

    Another amaaaazing poem.

    A hearts ache,
    And souls fateful cry,
    On the outside you hide,
    Inside you begin to die,

this stanza is worded brilliantly [tho i think you need an apostrophe in hearts and souls..]

    nice work, again.
